Church House - Montrose Getaway

Lovely house, fab location. Positive: Lovely house, it looked tiny from the outside, but was a great size. A tardis! Very comfortable lounge, great kitchen with everything you would need. Both bedrooms were lovely, very comfortable beds - we both slept really well the 4 nights we stayed. Fab shower. Little decked area outside with a table and chairs. Great location, with the park right outside, about a 4 minute walk to the High Street. The beach was about a 15 minute walk. Our little dog loved the park and the beach! We would definitely return, and would recommend. Negative: Nothing, really. We couldn't really sit out on the decking because a baby seagull had taken up residency, ,but it wasn't a big deal. The wee seagull was cute!

Great location Positive: The location is great. Very central but quiet, easy walk to the beach. There is a small enclosed front garden that our dog particularly appreciated as she could sit and watch the world go by. The flat was very comfortable, we slept well , good mattress, kitchen had everything we needed Negative: Black mound in the shower. I went and bought a specific mould spray to clean that. Normal bathroom detergent or even bleach don't really work for that. The windows seemed painted shut (at least I didn't manage to open them and as they are beautiful original sash windows, I was reluctant to use force) so we just left the front door open for fresh air (which is fine because of the gated front garden, and the entrance being set back from the pavement)

Excellent location and very good value for money Positive: Excellent location with easy parking just across the street. Very quiet both day and night. Within easy walking distance of the town. Rooms were spacious and well furnished and decorated. Negative: Strong smell of tomcat just inside the front door upon our arrival and still noticeable at the end of our week long stay. We noticed two possible suspects sitting on the wall outside! The shower in our bathroom was very good but we missed having a non slip mat to stand on, especially as there are no support handles over the bath.
