Pelshaven Cottage – A Peaceful Getaway

OK, but lacking basics Positive: Location good. Cottage heated up quickly. Nice size rooms Negative: No bin in en-suite. Nowhere to hang towels in en-suite. Blind cord for French doors in kitchen was easily snapped. No washing up liquid or kitchen towel in kitchen. Bed was extremely firm and not comfortable. Both bathrooms had no blinds at windows and even 'obscured glass is see through when the internal lights are on. Extractor in kitchen was very noisy Extractor in en-suite doesn't work properly and it squeals when not in use, also, no mat in shower so can be slippery. Shower rose needs descaling Under unit lighting in kitchen would be good as well as dedicated lighting over sink.

We had a fabulous stay here. Hope to come again in the spring/summer. Positive: The cottage was lovely and warm when we arrived on a cold windy day. Very well equipped. Great location round the corner to an excellent shop and pub. Village location, but only a minutes walk into countryside. Spotlessly clean. Negative: Furnishings a bit dated. Sitting/dining room could do with a bit more mood lighting. TV too high to watch if you are aged over 12.
